Jump-Start Your Business

Hey there Favored Friend! Have you recently started an online or home-based business? It seems as if everyone has or is seriously thinking about it. Whether you are a new blogger, just started a Direct Sales business or are beginning your VA business, there are so many options available to you!

Whatever you have chosen, it is awesome that you have stepped off the sidelines and entered the game of Entrepreneurship! You are finally taking charge of your future and are on the path to turning your dreams into reality. Kudos to you!

Now, although it is super exciting and exhilarating to actually be working for yourself instead of shuffling papers for someone else, it can also be a confusing and disheartening road to travel down. That is, if you don’t have someone guiding you.

Many people, when they decide to start their own business have no previous entrepreneurial experience. Therefore, they view everything through “employee” glasses.

What does that mean? Very simply, employees are expected to show up at the same time everyday. They are taught one specific set of tasks and are expected to perform those same tasks day in and day out. And, if they veer off course, they have someone there to call them in the office and scold them.

When that same person takes off their “employee” hat and puts on the “business owner” hat, they are the same person, just with a different hat.

Follow me here. Employees have an unconscious “need” for someone to tell them what to do and when to do it.

But, that simply is not going to happen when you are in business for yourself. So, what happens is the newfound “entrepreneur” just starts slapping mud on the wall. They have no method to their madness. They are just doing whatever makes sense to them. And, unfortunately, their feeble efforts may not be the right actions or simply may not be enough of the right actions. So, the newfound “entrepreneur” finds themselves discouraged and quickly losing hope.
